Matt McDougall is a photographer. Originally from the Canadian banana belt, the Niagara region.

When Matt was a wee lad, he used to cook dinners for his family. That is really when his love for food started. He cooked so much, his mom thought he would have attended chef school. However, that wasn’t his path.

He went to college for “Theatre Production” specializing in lighting design. He had an extremely hard time breaking into the professional theatre world. In the mean time, he worked lots of menial jobs, and eventually decided he needed to goto school for something else.

When you think this is where he would go to chef school, you would be wrong. He decided to go for Photography. A Graduate of Mohawk College “Photography Still + Motion” program. With his background in lighting design, photography was a great fit. He graduated in 2016, top 3 in his class, and has worked tirelessly to perfect his craft. Naturally, with such a love of food and cooking, food media was the right choice!

Since Graduating Matt has been a full time media creator, and hasn’t looked back. Living the absolute dream!
